“My 17-year-old cat Cookie stopped eating and was lethargic, so I was frantic to get her to the veterinarian. Since Cookie is not very active, I decided to let her in my car without a carrier.  When we got to the veterinarian, I put my foot on the brake and she let out an awful yowl. I realized that her tail had been on the brake.   The veterinarian ended up doing blood work for her lethargy and X-rays for her tail.  Luckily, Cookie’s tail was OK. The bill was almost $1,000 and I was thankful for the help I received from her ASPCA Pet Health Insurance plan.”
