ASPCA Animal Poison Control Center

If your pet has a poison emergency, the ASPCA Animal Poison Control Center can help at 1-888-426-4435. A $65 consultation fee may apply, 90% of which is covered by ASPCA Pet Health Insurance.

The Animal Poison Control Center is staffed with specially trained experts who are available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Their toxicologists have experience with over 1 million cases, and they have access to an extensive database to diagnose problems quickly and offer vital treatment advice.

In 2011, the Animal Poison Control Center fielded more than 165,000 poison emergency calls. Almost 26% of those calls concerned human prescription medications, which topped the list of harmful pet toxins for the fourth year in a row.*

You can learn more about the Animal Poison Control Center by visiting the ASPCA’s website at www.aspca.org. You can also order a free pet safety pack with an Animal Poison Control Center magnet online.
